MySOU Channel Descriptions
Channels provide at-a-glance information with click-throughs to expanded content or other Web resources.The channels that are available to you may depend on the roles you have in the system, or on other attributes such as Faculty, Student or Staff. Because of this, other users may have access to different channels than you do.

| Academic Advising and Support | The Academic Advising and Support channel contains useful links and weekly announcements. This channel is located on the Academic Services tab. | Everyone |
| Academic Profile | The Academic Profile channel displays your student academic profile which includes your class standing, level, and major. This channel is located on the Student SISWeb tab. | Student |
| Advisor Dashboard | The Advisor Dashboard channel lets you look up your students and advisees and includes links to transcripts, degree evaulation and email. This channel is located on the Faculty SISWeb tab. | Faculty |
| Alternate Sign On | The Alternate Sign On channel lets you access other systems using a different login then you used to login to MySOU. | Everyone |
| Area/Zip Code Lookup | The The Area/Zip Code Lookup channel lets you find the location of any US area code or zip code. You can also find the Zip Codes and Area Codes for any US address. | Everyone |
| Assistive Technology Blog | The Assistive Technology Blog channel gives you information on the latest updates in technology and disability at Southern Oregon University and beyond. | Everyone |
| ASSOU - Student Government | The ASSOU Student Government channel gives you information on student government issues. This channel is located on the Student Life tab. | Everyone |
| Banner Self Service | The Banner Self Service (SISWeb) provides single sign on access to Banner Self Service (SISWeb). | Student, Faculty/Staff |
| Bookstore | The Bookstore channel provides bookstore information and announcements. This channel is located on the Student Life tab. | Everyone |
| Career Services | The Career Services channel contains informational links and announcements. | Everyone |
| Channel Guide | The channel guide includes information about channels, what channels are available and how to add them. It includes a rotating featured channel section which displays a graphic and description of one of the many available channels. | Everyone |
| Class Search | The Class Search channel searches catalog and class schedules to list catalog information about class and when class will be offered. It includes links to our online catalog and schedule. | Everyone |
| Currency Converter | The Currency Converter channel lets you convert currency for different countries. | Everyone |
| Daily Horoscope | The Daily Horoscope channel displays your horoscope for the current day. There are 12 Daily Horoscope channels available - one for each sign of the zodiac. | Everyone |
| Digital Clock | The Digital Clock channel displays the current time in digital format. | Everyone |
| Disability Services | The Disability Services channel provides information about Disability Services. | Everyone |
| Driving Directions | The Driving Directions channel lets you search for driving directions between two locations. | Everyone |
| DSS Chat | The DSS Chat channel lets you chat live with our Disability Services for Students staff. | Everyone |
| eClassifieds | The eClassifieds channel lets you post items to sell and search for items to buy. | Everyone |

| Faculty Registration Tools | The Faculty Registration Tools channel has registration related links from Banner Self Service (SISWeb). Links include: Catalog, Class Schedule, Look Up Classes for Students, Add or Drop Classes, Change Course Options, and Registration Overrides. | Faculty |

| FareChase | The FareChase channel lets you search for the best rates on flights and hotels from dozens of sites. | Everyone |
| Games for One | The Games for One channel has links to Sudoku, Daily Crossword, Shanghai Dynasty, Spider Solitaire, Freecell Solitaire, Pyramid Solitaire, and Scrabble. | Everyone |
| Group Leader Activity Channel | The Group Leader Activity Channel allows a group leader to manage group activity. | Everyone |
| Health, Wellness & Counseling | The Health and Wellness Center channel contains informational links and announcements. | Everyone |
| Library About Services Help | The Library About Services Help channel lets you get information about the library, see what services are available, and get help with things like doing research and finding tutorials. This channel is located on the Hannon Library tab. | Everyone |
| Library Chat | The Library Chat channel lets you chat with a librarian at the SOU Reference Desk. There's also a link to Oregon's 24/7 chat reference service L-Net for when the SOU librarian is not available. This channel is located on the Hannon Library tab. | Everyone |
| Library Databases (Full List) | The Library Databases (Full List) channel provides links to all of the library databases available. This channel is located on the Hannon Library tab. | Everyone |
| Library Events | The Library Events channel displays events ocurring at the Hannon Library. This channel is located on the Hannon Library tab. | Everyone |

| Library More Resources | The Library More Resources channel provides access to more library resources. | Everyone |
| Library of Congress | The Library of Congress channel provides access to the Library of Congress. | Everyone |
| Library Quick Links | The Library Quick Links channel provides links for library operations. The links include Library Hours, Reserve a Room, Staff Directory, and Student Employment. | Everyone |
| Library Quick Search | The Library Quick Search channel enables searching for journal and newspaper articles across several of the Library's general databases. | Everyone |
| Library RefWorks | The Library RefWorks channel is a tool for managing research online. It allows the researcher to collect citations from a variety of resources in one place. Once the citations are ready, it will create a bibliography using whatever style the researcher prefers. Log in today and set up an account. (First time users who are off campus will need to contact a librarian to get the SOU Group Code.). | Everyone |

| Library Southern Oregon Digital Archives | The Library Southern Oregon Digital Archives channels provides access to the Southern Oregon Digital Archives (Bioregion, First Nations, and History). This channel is located on the Hannon Library tab. | Everyone |
| Loan Calculator | The Loan Calculator channel lets you calculate a regular loan or a mortgage loan. | Everyone |
| Movie Showtime Links | The Movie Showtime Links channel provides links to local movie listings and showtimes as well as coming attractions. | Everyone |
| Movie Showtime List | The Movie Showtime List channel allows you to see a complete list of movies and showtimes for local theaters. This channel is very long so you may prefer to place it at the bottom of the tab. | Everyone |
| Music Ticket Sales | The Music Ticket Sales channel provides information about music ticket sales at SOU including the events schedule, ticket information, and general information. | Everyone |
