NOTE: Before you can copy a course site into a new site, you must request your new course site! Use the Blackboard Course Request Form link to submit your request. When the site request has been processed (generally the next weekday morning), you may proceed with the steps below. 

 

Prepare to copy

Open the course site that you want to copy (the originating or "source" class). Go to the Control Panel in your source class and click on the link for "Course Copy" in the Course Options section at the bottom left.

Follow the link

On the next screen, click on the link labeled "Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course."

Indicate course to paste content into

Type in the CRN of your "destination" course and use the "Browse..." button to bring it up and select it. (You must be an instructor in the destination course for it to appear.)

 

Select the course content that you want to copy into the destination course.

 

Note: Do NOT copy enrollments. Students will be automatically enrolled as they register in Banner.

 

Click "Submit" at the bottom of the form to complete the copy process.

That's it!
You will receive an e-mail message when the copy process is complete. Once the course content has been copied into your new course, review the order of items posted in each area, delete any discussion board postings that have been copied over, and adjust due dates and item availability dates to reflect the new term.
