Located in the McNeal Pavilion on the SOU campus, our 25-yard pool is host to a variety of activities. From Masters Swimmers in the early morning, to the boisterous high school Water Polo players in the afternoon, to the Outdoor Program students eager to increase their safety and skill by practicing kayak-rolling skills, the SOU pool offers an inviting, but functional elegance to students and community members. The Department of Health, Physical Education and Leadership offers a diverse menu of classes including Scuba Diving, Advanced Scuba, Lifeguard Training, Cardio-Swim Fitness, Sea Kayaking, Whitewater Kayaking and Rafting, and Swiftwater Rescue Tech I, Rope Rescue, and Swiftwater Rescue Tech Advanced certifications, as well as lap swimming open to students and community members alike. Additionally SOU offers the pool to Rogue Valley swim teams for local and regional swim meets.
The Fall 2014 season of the pool is from September 29 to December 12. Fees may be paid, and season passes purchased, at any lap swim session. Click on the links to the left for more information.
