Do I need to reapply for admission to SOU?

No, simply complete the on-line reply form above. By doing so, you authorize UO to release your application information to SOU. The Program Coordinator at Southern will be in touch with you as soon as your information arrives in Ashland.

I have already been admitted to SOU. Can I participate in this program?

Yes, any newly-admitted student at SOU can participate, as long as UO offers the degree program you are interested in. To make sure you enroll in the right courses to transfer to UO, make sure your academic advisor is aware of your plans.

I would like to know more about SOU. How can I get additional information?

You can get additional information about SOU at www.sou.edu. You can contact an Enrollment Partnership Coordinator by calling the Office of Admissions at 800-482-7672 or emailing: admissions@sou.edu.

What courses will I be taking at SOU? Are there specific course requirements for this program?

Faculty at SOU and UO have developed a transfer module that will allow you to take courses at SOU to fulfill your gen ed requirements for the UO. Each term, you will work with your academic advisor at SOU to develop a course schedule that will meet your needs.

If I have already applied for financial aid at UO, will I need to reapply for Aid at Southern?

Yes, you will need to have your financial information sent to SOU for processing. You can do this quickly and easily by logging onto www.fafsa.ed.gov and requesting that your information be sent to SOU; SOU's institutional ID for federal aid is 003219. You are also encouraged to contact the Office of Admissions if you have any questions about this process.

What are the advantages of entering SOU as part of the Enrollment Agreement versus transferring to the UO from another institution?

Because of the specially-developed transfer module within this Enrollment Partnership, you will be assured that your courses will transfer and your general education course will be satisfied at the UO. You will remain connected to University of Oregon online with your UO email account, receiving news and updates the same as all Ducks! In addition, you will get all of the advantages of being a student at SOU, starting your college career at an institution that the New York Times calls a "Top Ten Hidden Gem". Southern Oregon University is proud to be Oregon's 4-year public liberal arts university and offers programs and services to students not found at any other university in the State of Oregon.
