Outdoor Program

The SOU Climbing Gym is open for use Monday - Thursday,  4pm - 8pm.


The SOU Climbing Gym is located in the same building as the racket-ball courts, behind the McNeal Pavilion. The SOU climbing Gym offers both bouldering and top roping.

 

Interested in taking your climbing to the next level or just interested in an alternate means of fitness? Join us in the SOU Climbing Gym 7:00PM-9PM Wednesday nights for a climbing skills clinic. The clinic includes different exercises and activities to improve an individuals climbing skills.

Fees:

SOU Students: $5.00 per session, $25 per term, $45 for two terms, or $75 per academic year. All students can bill their day or term pass directly to their student account. If you buy a year membership by 10/13, the cost is only $55!!

Community Members: $5.00 per session, $35 per term, or $105 per academic year. 

Weekly belay clinics are free to members. Belay Clinics will be held every Tuesday @ 5pm. No need to sign up, just arrive on time.

Every student's first visit is FREE!

Included in the cost is rental of shoes, harness & belay device.

 

Groups:

Outdoor Programs offers student faciliated sessions in the climbing gym for your group. Each experience is custom tailored to the desires of your group. Max group size = 20 people. Please email our climbing gym manager 

 

Volunteering:

The SOU climbing gym is student run! If you are interested in serving your fellow students as a volunteer supervisor or route setter, please email SOUclimbinggym@gmail.com.
