Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Welcome to

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

Eager to continue learning? Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Southern Oregon University offers intellectually stimulating classes for adults who want to know more about the world and the people who inhabit it.

Volunteer instructors, most often OLLI members, share their expertise and passions in literature, art, history, science, personal growth, politics, games, health, music, drama, dance, technology and travel. All this at very modest cost to members. And, classes are noncredit - that means no tests and no grades!

For more than a decade OLLI has presented hundreds of courses to its growing enrollment of more than 600 members. We offer a wide choice of learning opportunities and social experiences with congenial peers in cordial, comfortable, and informal class settings.

OLLI is more than attending classes and social functions. Members are afforded the opportunity to volunteer in our member-run organization. They are encouraged to: serve on committees, teach courses, assist in orienting newcomers, contribute to the quarterly OLLI newsletter (The LINK - PDF format), host classes, and participate in OLLI governance by becoming a member of the Council.

Eager to learn more about OLLI? Select from the topics on the menu to the left, and when in doubt, refer particularly to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). If all else fails, call the OLLI office between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (541) 552-6048.

OLLI is affiliated with Southern Oregon University's Extended Campus Programs.
