Music Recital Hour Schedule Winter 2012

The SOU Music Recital Hall is the only concert hall for the greater Southern Oregon region.  For a detailed description, please read below. For rental information please call the Music Recital Hall Manager at 541.552.6101.

About the SOU Music Recital Hall

The Southern Oregon University Music Recital Hall is a 436 seat concert hall available for rental.  The hall brings a wide variety of performers to campus throughout the year including groups such as the Buddy Rich Band, The US Navy Band's Sea Chanters, and the Airmen of Note. Chamber Music Concerts bring world-renowned chamber groups to campus ranging from the St. Petersburg Quartet with Ruth Laredo to Red Priest.  Our Music Recital Hall is acclaimed as being one of the best in the Pacific Northwest! Although it seats 436 people, it has a sense of intimacy. The recital hall is the center of activity for Music Majors, providing abundant opportunities to perform and attend performances by fellow classmates and world-class musicians.  In the summer of 2007 the Recital Hall underwent major renovations for the first time.  We're proud to present the new stage floor, carpets and seating donated by The Gertson Family Peter, Hazel and Barbara.  Our pipe organ was installed in the Recital Hall in 1974. Tickets

Tickets are sold for SOU Music Department events in the SOU Music Office.  Tickets may be purchased or reserved for SOU Music Department events approximately two weeks before each event in the Music Office (552-6101) between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm or at the door beginning 45 minutes before a performance. We accept payment by Cash, Check, Visa and Mastercard.  We will have an online ticketing system coming soon this year!  We have many private renters so if you are looking for tickets for any performances other than something being held by the SOU Music Department you need to contact them directly.  The SOU Music Department does not sell tickets for any of the private renters in our building.

Convocations

Convocations are at 12:30 pm on Fridays in the SOU Music Recital Hall, unless otherwise indicated. Convocation performances are subject to change. For more specific information about Convocations, please call the office.
