About the SOU Music Recital Hall
The SOU Music Recital Hall is the only concert hall for the greater Southern Oregon region. It seats 436 patrons. In the summer of 2007, the Recital Hall underwent major renovations for the first time. We're proud to present the new stage floor, carpets and seating donated by Peter, Hazel and Barbara Gertson.
The pipe organ was installed in the Recital Hall in 1974; more info available here.
The Music Recital Hall is the home of the SOU Music program's ensembles and featured guest performers, as well as many local musical organizations such as the Chamber Music Concerts, Rogue Valley Symphony and Southern Oregon Repertory Singers.
For rental information, please call the Music Recital Hall Manager at 541-552-6535 or email email@example.com.
Music at SOU needs your support! Contributions to the Music program sustain the success and vitality of SOU’s music training and performance opportunities. Donations fund student scholarships, underwrite student concerts, and maintain rigorous performance standards. As one of the recognized music programs on the West Coast, we strive to provide outstanding classroom instruction and individualized music training. Your contributions help to support these goals! Please consider including a tax-deductible donation with your ticket reservations or call David Humphrey, Department Director at 541-552-6522 to discuss how your thoughtful gift could best benefit the music students at the University. No amount is too small, and every gift is greatly appreciated. More info
