Percussion - Day of Percussion
Each year Southern Oregon University Music Department and Extended Campus Programs presents a Day of Percussion. This event is co-sponsored by the Percussive Arts Society. Past events have included a drum-set clinic with Wackerman, a percussion improvisation clinic with Skin & Bones, and a Zildjian Cymbals Master Class with Conundrum. Kerry "The Shakerman" Greene hosts a community drum circle. There are vendor displays and a raffle. Other featured performers have been the SOU Percussion Ensemble, Mukombe Marimba Club of the Ashland Schools, and the California State University, Sacramento Percussion Group. There is an evening showcase concert which is open to the public.
