Music Performance Major
The Music Performance Major is offered with emphasis in voice, keyboard, percussion, or wind instrument. An audition is required for acceptance as a performance major.
In addition to the general requirements for a degree in music, performance majors take 18 credits in applied music and and 12 credits in ensembles. [See Vocal Ensembles and Instrumental Ensembles for a list of these groups.]
Senior and Junior Recitals
To fulfill departmental graduation requirements, music performance majors shall perform a half recital in their junior year and a full recital in their senior year. All recitals are subject to audition by the faculty at least one month prior to the anticipated performance date.
