Ellie Holt Murray, a magna cum laude graduate from San Francisco State University, was a finalist in both the San Francisco Opera Merola Auditions and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She has extensive operatic credits singing such varied roles as Pamina in The Magic Flute, Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutte, Mimi in La Boheme, and the title role in Madama Butterfly. Her Sacramento Opera debut as Musetta in La Boheme was rewarded with a return engagement to sing Micaela in Carmen.

Ms. Murray has been an active recital and oratorio singer and has appeared in many musical theatre productions, singing Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, and Mrs. Muir in "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir".
