Coursework
A minimum of 48 credits is required for the performance track. The course
requirements are:
- MUS 510: Introduction to Graduate Studies (3 credits)
- MUS 511: Special Topics in Pedagogy (3 credits)
- MUS 512: Special Topics in Literature (3 credits)
- MUS 560: Topics in Music History (3 credits)
- MUS 540, 541, 542, 543, 544, 545, or 546: Theory Course (3 credits). Students may select from any one of these courses.
- MUP 590: Applied Instruction (24 credits)
- MUS 584, 594, 595, or 596: Ensembles (3 credits)
- MUS 550: Research and Chamber Recital (2 credits)
- MUS 551: Research and Solo Recital (2 credits)
- MUS 504: Comprehensive Exam Preparation (2 credits)
