Kimberly Fitch, violist

Kimberly Fitch is the featured performer in a faculty recital on Monday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the SOU Music Recital Hall. The violist will be joined by pianist Jodi French to play works by J.S. Bach, Biber and Mendelssohn.

Fitch holds a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music, and Master of Music in Viola Performance from UC Santa Barbara. Fitch's primary teachers have included world-renowned soloist Helen Callus and Phillip Ying, violist of the Ying Quartet. As a scholarship recipient, Fitch attended the Aspen Music Festival, Fontainebleau Schools in France, The Britt Institute with the Cavani and Pacifica Quartets, Soundfest Quartet Institute with the Colorado Quartet, and the Port Townsend Chamber Music Festival with the Tokyo Quartet.

Tickets are $10 regular and $5 senior for general admission. Admission for full-time students at any educational institution is free. The Performing Arts Box Office is located in the Theatre Arts Building lobby. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours prior to each performance.
