The contemporary world of music is increasingly dependent on knowledge of business practices. The music-business comajor is designed for students who wish to enter the music or entertainment industry with a strong background in both music and contemporary business skills. The program is also flexible enough to accommodate individual career objectives. The program is comprised of 45 music credits, 40 business credits, and 12 support course credits.
Requirements for the Major
- Fulfill baccalaureate degree requirements as stated beginning on page 21.
- Maintain a 2.75 GPA in music courses and a 2.50 GPA in business courses.
- Pass ten terms of the 0-credit, P/NP Convocations/Concerts course. For transfer students, the number of terms required depends on the number of applied music credits transferred.
