Each student will develop a project over the course of the term. Ideally, this assignment should represent an actual project for which you are responsible at work or at home. While there are no specific requirements for project scope or complexity, the project should be multifaceted enough to allow you to demonstrate your understanding of key project management concepts. If in doubt about the appropriateness of a project for this assignment, please consult with the instructor.

Many forms are provided during this course to guide the process of managing projects. For the term project, students must complete the following forms:

Assessment

Projects will be evaluated according to the standards established in the Term Project Product Description. Grading will be based on a demonstration of your understanding of project management as presented in this course. Written work will be evaluated based on organization, thoroughness, and completeness. Presentation is a critical function in working with projects and must be considered. Grammar and spelling errors (including typos) discount the credibility of projects in the workplace and should be kept to a minimum. Possible points for this project: 100 (50% of overall course grade).

Note: Required elements subject to revision at the discretion of the instructor. Final specifications will be provided at the first class session.
