Military Science

“Training Leaders for the Future”

The SOU Department of Military Science provides on-campus military science instruction that is open to all students without military obligation. All classes are fully accredited and applicable towards fulfilling academic requirements for a baccalaureate degree.

The department also provides a minor available to all students. The ROTC/GOLD component of the Department of Military Science provides the option for students to become Army officers in the National Guard, Reserves or Active Duty.
