Test Preparation

SOU offers interactive courses, including test prep for the TOEFL and GRE exams, that can be taken entirely over the internet. These instructor facilitated online courses include expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors. To explore the courses and register online, go to www.sou.edu/takeaclass.

CLEP

The CLEP Official Study Guide, 23rd Edition, is the only study guide that contains sample questions and answers for all 33 exams. This guide is available for checkout at the Medford Campus. You may also purchase the study guide online at www.collegeboard.com/clep. If you're taking just one or two CLEP exams, you'll save money by purchasing an Individual Subject Guide for $10 in a downloadable PDF format.

GRE

Free, official test preparation materials for the computer-based and paper-based GRE tests are available to anyone who registers for the GRE tests worldwide or who visits the web site. Other helpful test preparation materials are available for a modest fee. Visit www.ets.org/gre for more details.

TOEFL

A TOEFL Practice Online Tour is available for students who want to prepare now for the TOEFL iBT. The Official Guide to the TOEFL iBT is available on the web site at www.ets.org/toefl. This handbook with audio CD offers over 30 hours of lessons and practice activities for test takers and can be purchased for $30.
