Earl Potter Accepts New Opportunity

President Cullinan announced today that Dr. Earl Potter, Executive Vice President and Provost for Southern Oregon University, has accepted the position of President at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. He will begin there as of July 1, 2007.
President Cullinan commented on her last year with Potter, “I want to express my sincere gratitude to Provost Potter for all of his support and assistance this past year as we've faced the many challenges that will guide us toward the new SOU.” She added that Dr. Potter has been a significant part of the University, demonstrating strong leadership through the budget reduction process and in the accreditation self-study process.
Dr Earl Potter noted, “I have enjoyed being part of the SOU and Southern Oregon community. I will miss this community that I have grown to appreciate.”
SOU will miss the strengths and qualities Dr. Potter brings to the University. The university community wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
