SOU Provides Community Forum for the Future of Ashland Campus (1/21/09)

Southern Oregon University (SOU) invites campus neighbors to meet with the consultants for the Campus Facilities Master Plan. The forum will be held Thursday, January 29, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Meese Auditorium in the Art Building. This is the rescheduled date for a meeting that was planned for December 15, 2008, but was canceled due to inclement weather.

The consultants will be presenting three schemes for public review and comment. Topics to be discussed include the following:

• How much student housing should be provided by the University?
• How can the campus best interface with the larger community?
• What sustainability strategies should the University pursue?

The University also plans to post the three schemes on the SOU website in the near future for public review.
