Equipment Relocation
It is important that IT be notified anytime you need to move a computer, phone, printer or smart classroom equipment. This is not only necessary when you move offices, but also when space is undergoing renovation. Whenever equipment and phones are relocated, several people within the IT organization are mobilized to ensure that services operate with minimal interruption. To ensure that you get assistance please plan ahead and:
- Notify the Help Desk at 2-6900 of a move or renovation activity as soon as possible, but no less than one week prior to the event. The more lead time, the better prepared we can be to meet your needs.
- Based on the information provide to the Help Desk, all areas that must be involved within the IT organization will be notified. Representatives from IT may need to contact you for more details.
- IT will plan and coordinate with the appropriate contacts in your department.
