IE3 Global Internships

Learn about amazing opportunities to work abroad 40 hours/week in your major field of studies in 50 countries. Internships span from 10 weeks to 1 year long. Receive 6-12 academic credits per SOU term abroad by working closely with your academic advisor in your major and with the Education Abroad Advisor in International Programs (Stevenson Union 321). Previous study abroad experience is highly desirable. IE3 Global Internships are highly selective; so, it’s important to take time with your online application and to plan ahead. Look closely to make sure that you meet the internship qualifications, including language requirements. Qualifications, costs, and other details are very specific to the internship site; most are unpaid. Apply early, especially for Summer term.

Pacific Challenge with Southern Oregon University

SOU's Department of Health, Physical Education, and Leadership, along with adventure education partner, Pacific Challenge, is offering students the opportunity to earn SOU credit while traveling and studying in New Zealand and Australia during our Winter term, the southern hemisphere summer.

Educators Abroad Student Teaching

Student teaching opportunities may be available for Education majors at the undergraduate and graduate level for 10 -18 weeks in 50 countries. SOU students need to make sure that they meet the necessary criteria to apply and work closely with their academic advisors in the School of Education to ensure that the transfer credits will work into their academic plan in a beneficial way, such as a practicum. Take advantage of teaching abroad while working toward teaching licensure/certification.
