CURRENT HIGHLIGHTS
At the 2006 Oregon Wine Industry Symposium, Dr. Greg Jones an Associate Professor in the Geography Department at Southern Oregon University, was given an Outstanding Service Award by the Oregon Wine Industry (the Oregon Winegrowers Association and the Oregon Wine Board) for his contributions to the understanding and promotion of Oregon's grape growing and wine making industry.
SOU Professor Emeritus Lawson Inada has been named Poet Laureate of Oregon by Governor Ted Kulongoski.
