Consider a minor in HPEL's newest concentration, Outdoor Adventure Leadership.
Many Southern Oregon University students decide to attend college here because of the extraordinary natural environment of this region. Whether you choose to major in Environmental Science or Education, Biology or Business, History or Art, the new Outdoor Adventure Leadership (OAL) minor offers you a way to earn the credits you need to graduate, while broadening the scope of your education and gaining a skill set that will increase your employability as well as your lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors.
The Department of Health, Physical Education and Leadership's (HPEL) new minor in OAL consists of 26 credits total, 12 of which are upper division. Courses offered include: Whitewater Activities, Mountaineering, Outdoor Recreation Programming and the Environment, Outdoor Survival. See Dr. Donna Mills, 137 McNeal, for more information.
