Health and Wellness Center
What is Accreditation?
Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an ambulatory health care center is able to measure the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards of care and administrative processes.
The accreditation certificate is a symbol to others that an organization is committed to providing high-quality care, continuous self examination and quality improvement, and invites and welcomes outside reviewers to examine and measure internal mechanisms and quality of care against nationally recognized standards.
The SHWC has been accredited since 1998. The current accreditation certificate was issued in spring of 2007 and the center will be up for review again in spring of 2010.
