Van Rental
All SOU rental vans are managed and maintained by FMP Motor Pool staff with the intent to provide safe transportation at reasonable cost for approved, University-related travel. We currently have five 10-passenger vans available. If you have any special vehicle needs please contact the Motor Pool for assistance.
Note: Please make your reservation request as far in advance as possible to ensure a vehicle will be available for your trip.
RENTAL VEHICLES
When vans are not available from FMP, rental vehicles may be used. Locally, Enterprise Rent-a-car and Butler Ford have been pre-approved by SOU as meeting minimum insurance requirements. It is advisable to rent from a major company, as it will be more likely to carry adequate insurance coverage.
SAFETY KITS
Safety kits are required when carrying passengers to remote areas in rented vehicles. To reserve a kit, use the VAN REQUEST FORM and select "SAFETY KIT" as the "TYPE OF VEHICLE REQUESTED" and fill-out all other information as indicated.
Van Rental Rates as of 9/1/2005: $34 day / .52¢ mi. (Fuel is included)
