Costume Crafts from Head to Toe

A weeklong three-credit graduate level course geared toward high school and community college theatre educators, which will give you many options for creating costume crafts for use in production or the classroom:

  • Discuss challenges and realities for creating costume crafts
  • Learn problem solving methods for constructing and adapting what you need
  • Discover how to use inexpensive materials to make luxurious items
  • Explore the boundaries of realism and metaphor
  • Develop creative research skills
  • Investigate a variety of techniques to build exciting accessories
  • Attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
  • Come away with good ideas for costume crafts projects you can use in your school
