Past A La Carte Courses
Costume Crafts from Head to Toe
A weeklong three-credit graduate level course geared toward high school and community college theatre educators, which will give you many options for creating costume crafts for use in production or the classroom:
- Discuss challenges and realities for creating costume crafts
- Learn problem solving methods for constructing and adapting what you need
- Discover how to use inexpensive materials to make luxurious items
- Explore the boundaries of realism and metaphor
- Develop creative research skills
- Investigate a variety of techniques to build exciting accessories
- Attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
- Come away with good ideas for costume crafts projects you can use in your school
