Are you interested in earning a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood?
Welcome future early childhood educators!
Hi! My name is Younghee Kim. I am a faculty member of the Education Department at Southern Oregon University. I also work as a coordinator for the newly developed Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program. The ECD program at SOU is the result of a truly collaborative effort between SOU and Rogue Community College (RCC) to support students who want to move on for their higher education degree (B.A.) in the area of early childhood education. After we were granted state level approval in the spring of 2003, we were very excited to begin our first year of the program. This program will provide a variety of career options for you to work with young children and their families. Just imagine, this program will qualify you professionally for opportunities such as preschool teacher, Head Start Program teacher, administrator, family advocate, early interventionist, classroom assistant, as well as potential Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) students with a focus on K-3 teaching.
