Business Degree Completion

Prerequisites to the School of Business

Students who wish to take upper division (300-level or above) courses in Business Administration must first be admitted to the School of Business. (For exceptions, see course descriptions or ask your advisor.) 
 
Students must have completed the coursework listed below prior to admission to the School of Business:

  1. SOU’s University Studies Requirements, Oregon Block Transfer Degree, or the CSU or IGETC in California.
  2. Completion of the following lower division prerequisite courses:
  • Mth 243 Elementary Statistics (4 credits) plus 4 credits in mathematics above the level of Intermediate Algebra
  • Econ 201 Principles of Microeconomics
  • Econ 202 Principles of Macroeconomics
  • BA 131 Business Computer Applications (4 credits) 
  • BA 100 Orientation to the School of Business (1 credit)
  • BA 211 Accounting Information I (4 credits)(prerequisite:BA 131) 
  • BA 213 Accounting Information II (4 credits) (prerequisite: BA 211) 
  • BA 226 Business Law (4 credits)
  • BA 282 Applied Business Statistics (4 credits) (prerequisite: Mth 243) 

All courses with a Business Administration prefix (BA) must be taken for a grade.
