M.C.J. (Master of Criminal Justice), Boston University
B.A . Sociology, Davis and Elkins College.
He has also attended many thousands of hours in law enforcement, fire and emergency medical training
certified to the Executive level from state law enforcement licensing agencies in Washington and Oregon.
Experience:
Eric came to SOU after a 37 year career as a police officer.
He served in a number of agencies including:
the National Park Service in Yosemite as a Law Enforcement Ranger
sheriff’s deputy in West Virginia, a detective in Steamboat Springs,
Colorado, in Vancouver, Washington,
Deputy Police Chief, and finally moving to Oregon in 1978 to work at the Eugene Policve Department
He was the Director of Public Safety for the City of Grants Pass from 1987 – 1997
Chief of the Medford Police Department from 1998 - 2007.
