Bio

Terrie Martin is a journalism instructor specializing in teaching feature writing and advanced reporting. In addition, her interests include literary non-fiction writing and immersion reporting. In 1990, she won the American Society of Newspaper Editors' Best Non-Deadline Writing Award for her story "The Tenth Child," a profile of a brain-damaged baby born to a mother who used illegal drugs. Terrie's work was also nominated for a Pulitzer. Terrie is the coordinator of annual Capstone Journalism Project for graduating journalism students that produces a series of stories about a social issue in the Southern Oregon community.
