Jon Lange is Professor of Communication and has been at SOU since 1980. He chaired the Communication Department from 1987 through 1992. For seven years, Dr. Lange served as the Director of Training and Organizational Development at the university. Jon has also served on dozens of department and university committees and was the Director of the Accelerated Baccalaureate Program and Chair of the Community-Based Learning Committee. Jon’s research has appeared in national and regional journals and his work off-campus has been extensive, mainly facilitating or mediating the resolution of environmental, healthcare and workplace multi-party disputes He is on the roster for the U.S. Institute of Environmental Conflict Resolution as well as the roster for the Oregon Consensus Project.  Jon currently serves on the Board of Directors for the local community dispute resolution center, Mediation Works.
