Check-In and Lineup
Please arrive in caps and gowns and report to the designated check-in area at Mountain Arena at 7:30 a.m. the morning of commencement. You will be issued a name card at your designated school area (major) check-in table. It is important to save the name card and keep it easily accessible; you will need the card when you walk across the stage. Once you have checked in, please proceed to the lineup area immediately. Signs will be posted designating the location of each department. Faculty and staff members will assist you in lining up in alphabetical order and provide you with further instructions. Please remain in alphabetical order until the completion of the ceremony. You will be lining up according to school area, followed by department. The order is as follows: College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Education, and OHSU School of Nursing.
Procession
The procession begins at 8:40 a.m. Staff members will assist you with your seating—please pay close attention to any cues and directions you may receive. The goal is to have everyone seated as quickly as possible.
Crossing the Platform
Your big moment has finally arrived! You will need the name card issued to you at check-in. Make sure you have the card out and ready to hand to attendants at the stage area. As you cross the stage, you will be congratulated by members of the platform party. Please return to your seat and remain seated until the ceremony has concluded
