4 creditsOffers an interdisciplinary introduction to women's studies, with an emphasis on the sociobiological bases for sex roles, women's position in society, the effects of social change, recognition of stereotypes, and strategies and opportunities for women. Students select a topic individually or work with an interdisciplinary team of other students to determine a project, identify a faculty member with whom to work, and develop a work plan and an annotated bibliography.
