Southern Oregon University

Congratulations on being awarded a PEAK job! This page contains some commonly used information for current PEAK employees.

What do I need to do after accepting a PEAK job?

It is VERY important that you complete a Student Employment Packet BEFORE you begin your job.

If you have never worked on campus before:

  • Pick up a PEAK Jobs Student Employment Referral from Max Brooks in the Hannon Library.
  • Take the PEAK Jobs Student Employment Referral to your PEAK supervisor.
  • Visit the Payroll Office to fill out a Student Employment Packet. Be sure to bring with you a current passport OR a photo ID AND a social security card. If you do not have one or more of those documents, look at the list of other acceptable forms of identification on the last page of the I-9 Form.
  • It is critical that all of these steps be completed BEFORE you begin your job. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID FOR ANY WORK DONE BEFORE THESE STEPS ARE COMPLETED.

Pay Periods for Student Employees

Student pay periods begin on the 13th of the month and run through the 12th of the following month. SOU has only one payday per month, and it is ALWAYS the last business day of the month, regardless of holidays and vacation.

Reporting Hours

PEAK employees should use the Kronos/TKTalk System to record the number of hours they work each week. For Kronos instructions, click HERE.
