Donna is a Professor in the School of Business at Southern Oregon University. She joined the faculty subsequent to completion of a BS, Business Administration-Management and an MBA from SOU. Donna completed her PhD program through the School of Computer Information Sciences at Nova Southeastern University in the area of Technology in Education. She teaches Business Planning, International Business, Business Research and Graduate Business Research. Prior to her return to academia, Donna had over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, many of which were as a sole proprietor in Texas. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and is the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for 1999-2000 from the School of Business.
Donna served as Chair of the School of Business from 2011-14 following her position as the MBA coordinator. During her time as Chair she implemented the full time evening MBA program. Donna was instrumental in preparing the School for its first accrediting body, ACBSP in 2012.
Donna has partnered with various businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout the Valley in support of undergraduate and graduate students’ community-based projects.
Donna has authored an advanced Excel XP book titled The Select Series: Microsoft Excel 2002 Advanced, Prentice Hall. Donna has also authored several test banks and instructors manuals for various computer applications.
Donna enjoys working with students in variety of ways that extend beyond the classroom such as teaching students the importance of giving back to the community by volunteering during the community-wide Relay for Life, arranging tours with local businesses, mentoring freshman students , preparing for study abroad opportunities, and discussing career options.
Donna enjoys travel and has visited over 20 countries, including the People's Republic of China, England, France, Germany, and Denmark. As a young child Donna attended schools in England and the Canary Islands. Her love for travel has led her to serve as the advisor for business students wishing to study abroad in countries such as Germany, Denmark, France and England.
In her free time, Donna enjoys remodeling homes, fishing, traveling, hiking, snowshoeing, and spending time with her Great Pyrenees dog, Bailey.
