Karen Clarke (Certified Treasury Professional; MAT, Southern Oregon University, 2007; Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington) brings more than 30 years of financial management experience into the classroom. She has taught accounting for 15 years, observing many changes in the financial reporting process. Much of her teaching focuses on budgeting, finance and accounting.
Karen received the Certified Treasury Professional certification from the Association of Financial Professionals in 1995. For over ten years she worked with company treasurers in setting up and operating financial systems in government, retailing, wholesaling, manufacturing and nonprofit industries. Karen also teaches treasury management as a faculty member of the Association of Financial Professionals. Karen likes to bring real life case studies into the classroom to research and discuss.
Karen's son lives in Las Vegas working in restaurant management. Her grandson, born on her birthday, is active in sports. She is active in many local organizations. Her main hobby is music, she enjoys all genres. After several years of piano lessons she is learning to play the drums.
