Reasons to study Management of Aging Services

We are entering a unique time in our history when 1 out of every 5 citizens of the United States will be 65 or older.  The SOU Management of Aging Services option is designed to focus on older adults as a target market and explore the many different business models that address their needs and wants. Examples including Senior housing (Assisted Living, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Affordable Housing, etc.), home care services (Hospice, Home Health, Private Duty, Ancillary Services), gourmet meal businesses, alternative therapies such as music and art, health and wellness (such as fitness, personal training, cognitive stimulation), finance (such as Wells Fargo wealth management for older adults), and technology (such as Intel's program aimed at using technology to improve communication and accessibility for older adults).  There will be numerous business opportunities in all of these areas in the future.  Students who earn a BS in Business Administration with a focus option in Management of Aging Services will be poised to meet the demand.
