Dr. John Bowling is an accomplished business leader, educator, coach, and consultant as well as a faculty member in the School of Business at Southern Oregon University. His role as Coordinator of the Master in Management program, as well as his work with businesses in the broader community, allows him to focus on his passion; helping others develop the mindsets of sustainable business leadership.

John was a versatile leader in the Senior Healthcare Industry, with over 14 years of key leadership and management experience. He has been consistently recognized for innovative leadership, strategic vision, and ability to support key business results. Dr. Bowling has a strong capacity for promoting and managing organizational change effectively. These change management abilities were demonstrated in guiding 8 start up operations over an 11 year period of time. He is well-skilled at dealing with change resistance and creating buy-in for new programs and ideas. John led start up business development and general management of Silverado At Home, following several years as Chief Learning Officer for Silverado Senior Living. Before joining Silverado, Dr. Bowling was a principal partner and clinical director of Advanced Behavioral Care.

Dr. Bowling is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops, is published in professional journals and has served as adjunct faculty at Texas A&M University, the University of Maine, University of Utah, and Westminster College. John has served on multiple Boards in the areas of healthcare, aging, and technology. He serves on the National Ski Patrol and lives in Jacksonville, Oregon, with his wife and two sons.
