CPA Review

SOU will offer an annual CPA Review course each Spring term. Two courses will be available, each covering 2 parts of the CPA Exam. One course will meet from 5 until 7PM on Monday nights (covering Financial and Audit) and the other from 5 until 7PM on Wednesday nights (covering Regulation and Business Environment) in the Central Hall computer lab. The 2008 courses will begin March 31st and end mid-June.

The courses emphasize learning through preparation and practice. The instructor will lead a discussion covering 2 or 3 Study Units (SUs) for approximately 10 minutes at the top of each hour. The following 40 to 50 minutes will consist of students in a computer lab setting going through practice questions, electronically, regarding the 2 or 3 SUs. The instructor will be available to answer questions, provide hints as to the best method to approach certain questions, and explain solutions when the Gleim-provided explanation doesn't suffice. The process will be repeated at the top of each hour.

For fees, CRNs, etc., see the Course Schedule. The courses are BA465A/B. The courses can be audited or taken for credit with an A-F or Pass/NoPass option.

If you register for one or both of these courses be sure to login to Blackboard at least two weeks before Spring term begins to find out important information about materials to be obtained and assignments to be completed before the first class.
