Teacher Resources
The Klamath Region is an excellent example of an area rich in biodiversity. For teachers and children who live in this region, what better way to discuss the topic of biodiversity then to use specific examples from the area that they live. This website is meant to raise awareness of the diversity of the area, and to be a guide for topics to discuss, in the classroom or outside, regarding biodiversity. By reading through this website, visiting the national parks in the area, and conducting environmental education activities based on the diversity of this region, I hope a ‘sense of place’ is fostered amongst those who live here.
Below are various environmental education activities around the topic of biodiversity in the Klamath Region. They can be used in the classroom or before a visit to a national park to discuss the topic of biodiversity.
