Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity Senator
Oneta Cantlon

Major: Chemistry
Major: Math
About Me:
My name is Oneta. I am the gender equality and sexual diversity senator for ASSOU. I came to SOU because the school had an air of warmth and acceptance; I wanted to attend a school that fostered diversity. I am a double major in chemistry and math. I got involved in ASSOU because I am very passionate about gender equality and sexual diversity. I want students to feel comfortable with who they are and feel they have a safe place on campus. I believe that discovering who you are is one of the most important aspects of the college experience and it requires that you feel comfortable at school. In high school I was involved in the gay-straight alliance; I took two leadership classes and AP government; and I played softball.
