About Me:
My name is Justin Silva, and I am a senior in Political Science here at SOU. I moved to Southern Oregon in August of 2011 and love living here in beautiful Ashland. I am finishing up my B.S. and plan on becoming a high-school history teacher. I have held many leadership positions in my life and I am excited to be a part of Student Leadership at Southern Oregon University. I decided to run for office so that I could maintain and restore the student voice here on campus. As our tuition increases, our classes grow and our job opportunities disappear, we as students need to step up our efforts to innovate, create and resist the status quo. I encourage every student at SOU to take a few minutes out of their busy schedules to educate themselves on the issues that we are facing not only at our institution but throughout the country during this time of economic hardship.
