Daniel Breaux

Major: Criminal Justice

Minor: Spanish

About Me:

My name is Daniel Breaux and I am the Athletics Senator. I am a sophomore Criminal Justice major with a Spanish minor and I am captain of the SOU football team. I was involved with student government in high school as a commissioner of athletics which helped me gain experience for my current position. My Freshman year at SOU, I was on Student Fee Committee and the Student Athletics Advisory Council. For the past year I have worked as a Raider Ambassador giving new and prospective students their first impressions of our university. In the 2012-13 school year I was the the Director of Recreation, Outdoor, and Athletic Programs (ROAP) on ASSOU. Since the beginning of the school year, I have been a volunteer at the Southern Oregon Humane Society as a Pet Partner and Dog Handler.

I decided to join ASSOU because as an athlete, I felt the need to use my leadership skills to step up and be a voice for the student body. I was not content with only making a difference at this school on the football field, so whenever I am given the opportunity to be more involved on campus, I take it. I always look forward to chances to work with the students of SOU and I plan to continue fighting as hard as I can to ensure that the student voice is heard at full volume.
