About Me:
Hey Y’all! I am a small town Oregon native who has spent some of her life living in Costa Rica, Spokane, and Kauai. I adore the beach and the mountains; everything from surfing to some good ole hunting and fishing. Some of my favorite things in life are fortune cookies, sunsets, and bonfires! When I’m not working or going to school I spend my time with my girlfriend whom I’ve been blessed to have in my life for the past year. After graduation rolls around in June I will have my B.S. in Psychology, a minor in GSWS, and a minor in Sociology. I hope to attend graduate school and work towards becoming a queer youth counselor, working specifically with the middle school and early high school population.
I attended Gonzaga University my freshman year, and then had to transfer to SOU but I could not be happier! I love the people of Ashland, and the SOU community! I have always felt at home in Southern Oregon.
I have many years of leadership and student government experience that I will do my best to utilize in order to better serve the SOU community. As your ASSOU Director of Gender and Sexual Diversity this year, I hope to form connections where there has long been disconnection. Interconnectedness is my theme for the 2012-2013 school year! Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions about resources, want to get involved with the Gender Sexuality Union, or even if you’d just like to grab a cup of coffee and introduce yourself! I can often be found at my other job in the Social Sciences office in Taylor Hall, or down in the QRC and WRC.
