Miles Inada

Miles Inada is an Assistant Professor of Digital Art at SOU where he teaches courses in Digital Imaging, Multimedia, and Computer Animation. Currently, he is completing work on "Legends from Camp," a 3D computer animation about the World War II Japanese American Internment Camp experience based on the poetry of his father, Lawson Inada. His two previous animations, "Francisco Pulpo's Scincinnati" and "Monkey," have won awards at SIGGRAPH, Film Fest New Haven, Atlanta Film & Video Festival, Cinema Arts Centre International Film Festival, and the Berkeley Video Festival and have been shown at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, Sinking Creek, and the Vancouver Asian Film Festival among others. He has received production grants from The Civil Liberties Public Education Fund, The City of Cincinnati, and The Louis Rockwood Foundation and has taught courses in multimedia and animation at the University of Cincinnati and the Maine Photographic Workshop.

He holds a BA in English from Yale, a BFA in Painting from the University of Oregon, and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati.
