Peg Sjogren teaches beginning through advanced painting and drawing classes, including life drawing and painting. She enjoys working from direct observation and brings her artistry to the classroom. She has travelled extensively, including a year in Germany where she pursued painting, drawing, and printmaking on a grant from the German government before joining SOU. Her work has been included in the Oregon Biennial, and has been exhibited on the west coast of North America, in Germany, and in Mexico. In addition teaching, Professor Sjogren has been active in university and department governance, serving as department chair, school dean, and faculty senate chair.
