Admissions
You're Admitted! What's next?
Update Us on Any Changes
If you have changed your address, phone number, email address, etc., since applying, please let us know so you can continue to receive important information.
Missing Materials
Please refer to your admission letter and send us any missing materials (transcripts, scores, etc.) as soon as they are available. Accomplishing this will finalize your admission decision.
Enrollment Deposit
As soon as you've decided you want to attend Southern Oregon University, you will need to submit an Enrollment Deposit of $300. For students beginning in the fall, submitting the deposit by the priority deadline of June 1 will ensure you a spot at Raider Orientation Registration, allow you to lock in your housing preference sooner, save you a place in the incoming class, and provide you with priority information about Week of Welcome and Pre-Welcome Programs. For students beginning in winter, spring, and summer, submitting the enrollment deposit ensures your place in the incoming class, an academic advising appointment, and eligibility to register for courses.
Housing
Please reserve your residence hall room now by submitting a Housing Application. Check out the residence hall and family housing options.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
You must submit a FAFSA to be considered for financial aid at SOU. This form is available at schools, libraries, and online. Our FAFSA school code is 003219. Also apply online for SOU scholarships. There is no deadline for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Program. WUE scholarships are awarded until the maximum number of awards for the year is reached, so applying earlier than later is recommended. Your financial aid award letters will arrive by mail and email .
Final Transcripts
After graduating high school or completing your college work, please send us final official transcripts as soon as they are available.
Immunization and Health History Forms
SOU’s Student Health and Wellness Center will mail you information about immunization and health history requirements. These forms are vital in ensuring your ongoing registration eligibility and in helping SOU meet your health needs. The immunization form is available here.
Registering For Classes
If you are starting SOU fall term, plan on attending the Raider Registration Program. This is a great opportunity to meet your classmates, receive academic advising, register for classes, and get oriented to the campus and community. Academic advising is required before initial class registration.
