General Education Transfer Guides

Articulation Agreements
Students who successfully complete all designated courses in a SOU articulation agreement will have met SOU's lower-division general education requirements, be eligible for admission to their selected major at SOU and upon admission, will be assured junior standing within their selected major.
Transfer Equivalency Petition Form
Students: Use this form to petition faculty to equate your transfer courses with SOU courses. Present both pages of the form to faculty. Be sure to check the Transfer Evaluation Web Page to make sure your courses are not already equivalent.
Transfering from California?
CSUGE or IGETC certification is accepted to satisfy Southern Oregon University's lower division general education requirements.
Transferring from Washington?
The DTA Associate Degree is accepted to satisfy Southern Oregon University's lower division general education requirements.
Transferring with Military Credit?
SOU may award college credit for educational experience obtained in the military.
