General Education Options for the OHSU Nursing Program at Southern Oregon University
Transfering into the OHSU Ashland Nursing program, you have the following options to facilitate the registration process for completing your General Education requirements, electives, and area of focus through SOU:
1. You can apply for regular admission as an SOU student. As a regularly admitted SOU student, you have advantages which include having a better selection of courses since you are able to register much earlier than non-admitted students. To apply for regular admission at SOU, please simply complete our online admissions application and submit required materials.
2. Alternatively, you can take classes at SOU as a Non-Admitted student. As a non-admitted student, you are welcome to take a maximum of 8 SOU credit hours each term and do not have to pay the $50 SOU Admissions application fee or submit transcripts, etc. However, as a non-admitted student you have fewer choices for SOU classes, since you cannot register until after admitted students. To become a Non-Admitted student at SOU, please complete our On-Line Application for Enrollment of Non-Admitted and Returning Students. Mail the completed application to Registrar's Office, Southern Oregon University, Ashland, OR 97520. Or you may fax it to (541) 552-6614.
