Preview Days will introduce you to the many facets of campus life and to the people that make Southern Oregon University a special place. You will tour campus and the residence halls, meet with faculty in your major, explore resources and facilities, and dine on campus. Guests are welcome! 8:00am- Continental Breakfast in the Stevenson Union
8:45am- Welcome and Opening Session
Administrators will provide an overview of the program and the opportunities at SOU. A student panel will answer many of your questions.
9:45am- Discussion Groups for Students
"Life as a Raider Freshman"
Connect with current SOU students to discover opportunities for club involvement and campus activities and to ask questions about living on campus and what it means to be an SOU Raider.
"Transfer Student Raider Experience"
A conversation with SOU staff and students specific to the needs and resources for transfer and/or re-entry students. Hear about involvement opportunities, on-campus housing options, clubs and organizations, as well as campus support and what it means to be an SOU Raider.
9:45am- Reception for Parents and Guests
Chat with academic Deans, Vice Presidents, and other administrators.
10:30am- Academic and Information Fair
Explore academic programs, student services, campus resources, organizations and more!
11:30am- Faculty Presentations
Professors will present a favorite lecture.
12:20pm- Lunch - Enjoy a buffet lunch in the Stevenson Union.
1:15pm (every 15 min)- Campus and Residence Hall Tours
Explore campus facilities and Greensprings/North Campus Village residence hall complexes. Family Housing's Old Mill Village (Wightman Street) is open for individual drop-in tours.
1:15pm- Application Workshop
Drop by and let the admissions staff assist you with your application for admission.
1:15pm- Financial Aid Information Session
This presentation will discuss the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other available aid programs. Financial Aid staff will review the awarding process and timeline and answer questions in an open forum.
2:00pm- Disabilities Resources at SOU
Learn more about accommodations and transition support for students with disabilities and learning challenges at SOU. Discuss how to access campus services and required documentation and how to connect with Disability Resources staff.
