Admissions
Application Checklist for Freshman Applicants:
Complete an SOU Application:
Mail your written SOU Application or use our Secure Online Application anytime after the beginning of your senior year. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee. If you qualify, you may wish to defer the $50 application fee until you enroll for classes. To see if you qualify, complete the deferral form.
Have Official High School Transcripts Sent:
We consider transcripts to be official if they arrive in an original sealed envelope. Contact your high school to send your transcripts to SOU. If you are still in high school, be sure they include your senior year class schedule. If you completed any college level work in high school, please have the college send those official transcripts as well.
Send Us Your Test Scores:
We will need SAT or ACT scores. You can have test scores sent to us by the appropriate testing agency (College Board for SAT, etc.) or we can take your test scores from your official high school transcripts. Our SAT code is 4702 and our ACT code is 3496. You can submit an application and begin the application process prior to taking the SAT or ACT.
